GOUNÉA ("we", "us") is a K-beauty export and distribution company based in Seoul, Republic of Korea. This policy explains what information we collect when you contact us through this website, by email or on WhatsApp, and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Details you enter in our inquiry form: your name, company, country, type of business, website or store, sales channel, estimated order size, email address and message.
• Information you send us directly by email or WhatsApp, such as your phone number and the content of your messages.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this website.

How we use it

• To reply to your inquiry and recommend relevant brands and products.
• To prepare quotations, samples, orders, export documents and shipments you ask for.
• To keep a record of our business communication with you.

We use your information only for our business relationship with you. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing mailing list without your consent.

Legal basis

Where data protection laws such as the EU GDPR apply, we process your information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers to run this website and our communication:

• Cloudflare, to host and deliver this website.
• Web3Forms, to deliver inquiry form messages to our email inbox.
• Google Workspace, for our business email.
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us there.

These providers may process data outside your country, including in Korea and the United States. When we share details with Korean brand partners to prepare a proposal, we share only the business information they need, such as your company, country and sales channel.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and business correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and our business relationship, and for up to three years after our last contact, unless a longer period is required by law (for example, for export and tax records).

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Just email contact@gounea.com and we will reply within 30 days. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
